সংবাদ : পরিবেশ কর্মীদের সভা – প্যালেস্টাইনের গণহত্যার প্রতিবাদ

প্যালেস্টাইনে গণহত্যা, গাজায় ত্রাণ দিতে যাওয়ার পথে পরিবেশ, মানবাধিকার কর্মীদের আটকের প্রতিবাদে, মানবতা, পরিবেশের শত্রু যুদ্ধবাজদের বিরুদ্ধে গত ১৪ ই জুন-২০২৫ ধর্মতলার মেট্রো চ্যানেলে প্রতিবাদ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হল। এই প্রতিবাদ সভার আয়োজনে ছিল – নদী বাঁচাও জীবন বাঁচাও আন্দোলন, যৌথ জীবনযাপন, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিজ্ঞান মঞ্চ, বেহালা পরিবেশ গোষ্ঠী, পরিবেশ বান্ধব মঞ্চ, গ্রিন নাগরিক সহ বিভিন্ন সংগঠন। 

উক্ত সভায় গৃহীত প্রস্তাব: 

নদী বাঁচাও জীবন বাঁচাও আন্দোলন, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিজ্ঞান মঞ্চ, যৌথ জীবনযাপন, পরিবেশ বান্ধব মঞ্চ ব্যারাকপুর, বেহালা পরিবেশ গোষ্ঠী, গ্রিন নাগরিক সহ বিভিন্ন সংগঠনের উদ্যোগে আজকের এই সভা প্যালেস্টাইনের গণহত্যাকে তীব্র ধিক্কার জানাচ্ছে। পরিবেশ, মানবতা বিরোধী যুদ্ধবাজদের বিরুদ্ধে সারা বিশ্বে জনমত গড়ার আহ্বান জানাচ্ছে। পরিবেশ ও মানবাধিকার কর্মীদের ত্রাণ দিতে না দেওয়ায় ইজরায়েল সরকারকে ধিক্কার জানাচ্ছে। আজকের এই সভা প্যালেস্টাইনের স্বাধীনতার পক্ষে দাঁড়াচ্ছে। বিশ্বজুড়ে আধিপত্যবাদ যেভাবে মানবতা বিরোধী বর্বর আক্রমণ নামিয়ে আনছে আজকের সভা তাতে তীব্র নিন্দা ব্যক্ত করছে। এর সঙ্গে ভারত সহ বিশ্ব জুড়ে উন্নয়নের নামে জল-নদী-বনের দখল করা হচ্ছে। এ যেন দেশের মধ্যে রাষ্ট্র শক্তি নিজের দেশেই উপনিবেশ কালের আগ্রাসন নামিয়ে আনছে। নদী-প্রকৃতি রক্ষার আন্দোলন সার্বিক জৈববৈচিত্র্যের সহনশীল জীবন যাপন ও পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণে জনমত গড়ার পক্ষে অবস্থান নিচ্ছে।

Protest Meeting at Dharmatala Metro Channel Against the Genocide in Palestine and the Detention of Environmental and Human Rights Activists Delivering Aid to Gaza: 

In protest against the ongoing genocide in Palestine, and the detention of environmental and human rights activists while delivering aid to Gaza, a protest meeting was held today at the Metro Channel in Dharmatala. The event was organised by Nodi Banchao Jibon Banchao Andolan , Paschim Banga Vigyan Manch,Behala Paribesh Gosthi,Youtho Jivan Yapon, Paribesh Bandhab Mancha (Barrackpore),Green Nagorik, and several other organisations.

Resolutions adopted at the meeting:

This meeting — initiated by Nodi Banchao Jibon Banchao Andolan, Paschim Banga Vigyan Manch, Youtho Jivan Yapon, Paribesh Bandhab Mancha (Barrackpore), Behala Paribesh Gosth, Green Nagorik, and other organisations — strongly condemns the genocide in Palestine.

It calls upon people around the world to build public opinion against war-mongers who are enemies of both humanity and the environment. The meeting denounces the Israeli government for obstructing aid and preventing environmental and human rights activists from providing relief.

This gathering stands in solidarity with the struggle for the independence of Palestine. It also expresses strong condemnation of the way global imperialist forces are unleashing brutal, inhuman assaults in the name of dominance.

At the same time, in India and across the globe, the seizure of water, rivers, and forests in the name of ‘development’ is a matter of deep concern. It appears that the state is unleashing colonial-style aggression within its own territory.

The movement to protect rivers and nature is taking a firm stand in favour of building public opinion for a life of ecological harmony and for adopting inclusive, sustainable planning.
